Bulldogs fall to Southern University New Orleans

The Fisk Univeristy mens and womens basketball teams lost a doubleheader to visiting Southern University New Orleans Monday at Henderson A. Johnson, gymnasium. The Lady Bulldogs fell 78-57, and the men went down 78 to 60.
Both of the host teams took the floor short-handed because of injuries. The Lady Bulldogs played without center Nacori Foreman, their top rebounder. She was sorely missed against SUNO's huge front line, which featured two players who stood 6-foot-5. Nonetheless, the Lady Bulldogs played tough the entire game. The difference was SUNO's ability to rebound the ball.
Meanwhile, the men were without Cameron Lewis and Harold Jenkins. They are important cogs in the Bulldogs high octane attack. Their offensive punch was sorely missed, as the Bulldogs struggled to find their flow offensively.
