Tuscaloosa, Ala., The Belhaven College Baseball Team (23-9, 13-8) defeated NCAA DII foe Stillman College on Monday by a score of 8-4. With the victory, the Blazers start a new streak where they have won 3 consecutive games and 17 out of their last 18.

Joe Patterson started for the Blazers but took the no decision. Relief pitcher Ethan Rodgers (2-0) got the victory as he pitched 3 innings, allowing no earned runs, and logging a strike out. Josh Young closed out the game pitching the final inning.

Bryan Bennett paced the Blazers offense as he went 3-3, with a walk, 2 stolen bases, and 2 RBIs. Blaise King had another solid performance setting the table for the Blazers as he went 2-3, with 2 doubles and 2 runs scored. Other Blazers that contributed offensively were Shawn Anderson (0-2, 3 walks, 3 runs scored), Charlie Edwards (0-3, walk, RBI), Reg Ott (0-4, walk, RBI), Brian McCormick (1-4, homerun), and Lake Eiland (1-3, walk, run scored).

The Blazers will be back in action tomorrow as they will board the bus and travel to Thomasville, GA, where they will play Berry College tomorrow and Thomasville University on Wednesday. For those listening on the web, game time tomorrow will be 4:00 PM central.
