Ridgeland, Miss., - The Belhaven College Lady Blazers Softball Team (15-15, 1-1) dropped a double header on Tuesday to the #1 Oklahoma City University Lady Stars by scores of 2-12 and 0-9.

Game 1

Sarah Burns (7-6) took the loss in game 1. She allowed 4 earned runs through 3 2/3 innings, striking out 5, and walking only 1. Salina Cervantes worked 3 1/3 innings in relief. She allowed 4 earned runs, striking out 4, and walking only 1.

Lauren Biediger provided the bulk of the offense for game 1 as she blasted her 8th homerun of the season over the left field fence. Jor'Dan Orr rounded out the scoring for the Lady Blazers as she came home on a passed ball on the 7th.

Game 2

Mallory Meadows (5-5) took the loss in game 2. She pitched 3 2/3 innings, allowing 4 earned runs, striking out 2, and walking only 1. Sarah Burns finished up the game pitching the final 1 1/3 inning.

Jessica Eggold and Jessica Wright picked up the only 2 hits for the Lady Blazers, both were singles.

The Lady Blazers will be back in action tomorrow as they welcome Oklahoma Baptist University to Freedom Ridge Park. Game time is set for 1:00 PM.
