Westwego, La..- Mobile scored five runs in the third inning en route to a 10-3 victory over Loyola Friday night at Segnette Field.

 

Mobile starter Jesse Luker (6-1) went 5.2 innings in the victory.  The southpaw gave up three runs on three hits and struck out four.  He also walked four Wolfpack hitters.  Ira Turner earned his third save of the season as he entered in the sixth inning and threw 3.1 innings of shutout relief.  He gave up one hit and struck out one.

At the plate, the Rams had 15 total hits against Loyola pitching.  Stephen Stork and David Cramblitt each had three hits each.

For Loyola, starter Andrew Laiche (2-6) was tagged with the loss.  The right hander went 5.1 innings and gave up seven runs, six earned and struck out two.

Mobile improved to 24-7 and 18-1 in the GCAC, while Loyola fell to 10-21 and 6-16 in the GCAC.

The series concludes with a double header on Saturday at Segnette Field with first pitch in game one slated for 1 p.m.
