Ridgeland,Miss., The Belhaven College Softball Team (18-16, 1-1) Swept a double header from Culver-Stockton College on Tuesday, by scores of 8-0, and 5-1. Lady Blazers pitcher Sarah Burns pitched back to back complete games, completely dominating the Wildcats, as she pitched 13 innings, striking out 24, allowing only 5 hits, and no earned runs. Jor'Dan Orr (4-4, 2 DBLs, 3 RBIs, 2 runs scored) and Lauren Biediger (3-4, HR, 3 RBIs, 2 runs scored) led hit parade in game one as they were a combined 7 for 8, with 6 RBIs, and 4 runs scored. Other Lady Blazers stepping up offensively were Mallory Meadows (1-4, run scored), Meghan Pursell (1-4), Tiffany Ansley (1-4, RBI), Keresa Steichen (2-4, RBI), Kristy Pugh (2-3, run scored), and Britney Webb (2-3, SB, 2 runs scored).

Tiffany Ansley anchored the offense in game 2 as she went 3 for 3 with 2 RBIs. Mallory Meadows also broke out of a recent slump as she went 2 for 3, with a double, an RBI, and 2 runs scored. Other Lady Blazers with offensive contributions were (1-4), Jor'Dan Orr (0-1, 3 walks, run scored), Lauren Biediger (0-2, HBP, run scored), and Keresa Steichen (0-2, RBI).

The Lady Blazers will be back in action Saturday as they welcome the #6 University of Mobile Rams to Freedom Ridge Park for a GCAC double header. Game time is set for 2:00 PM.
