New Orleans, La. – Loyola University New Orleans senior guard Kiely Schork won the Hustle Award at the 2008 NAIA Division I Women's Basketball National Championship Tournament that wrapped up on Tuesday.

Schork and the Wolfpack made it to the Tournament’s Elite Eight after defeating Westminister and Point Loma Nazarene before falling to Trevecca Nazarene 68-50.  Schork had 43 points in the tournament including 13 three point field goals.  She also added nine rebounds and seven steals in the Wolfpack’s tournament run.  She had a season high seven three pointers with 21 points in Loyola’s 71-64 upset of #1 seed Point Loma Nazarene on Friday.

Schork ends her career scoring a program record 1,842 points and hitting a school record 493 three pointers.  The Burlingame, California, native is also the only Loyola women’s basketball player to be named All-GCAC four times in a career.

Comments from Coach DoBee Plaisance: "This award is extremely appropriate for Kiely.  Her hustle on the court is not only a reflection of the passion she has for the game but it demonstrates her commitment to the University and our women's basketball program.  We have been blessed to have such a special and talented student-athlete be a strong contributor to all of our achievements.  She will truly be an ambassador to the Loyola University".
