In game one Carey starter Katie McCrary was rock solid scattering seven hits and allowing no runs in a complete game effort. The Lady Crusaders scored the only runs of the game in the third inning as Bree Neidhart tripled to score Megan Pittman and was able to score herself on the same play as the throw home went wide.
That was all the run support McCrary needed as she cruised to her fourth win of the season.
In game two Carey jumped all over Culver Stockton scoring three runs in the bottom of the first inning thanks to an RBI triple by Leah Kilpatrick and a two RBI single from Shelly Berry. Carey starter Melanie Bush was solid allowing only one run and four hits in five innings of work. Brittany Fuller worked a one-two-three seventh to pick up her fourth save of the season.
With the sweep Carey improves to 26-5 overall.
The Lady Crusaders return to action on Tuesday April 1st as they travel to Jackson, MS, to take on Belhaven College in GCAC play.
