Memphis, TN- William Carey University snapped a four game losing streak with a 7-4 victory over Crichton College (TN) Tuesday night in Memphis.

Carey opened the scoring in the second with an RBI double by Lance Brewer. Carey added runs in the fifth and sixth off home runs by Brewer and Greg Alexander then took advantage of a couple Crichton miscues to score four runs in the eighth to cap off the scoring.

The Crusaders got seven strong innings from Senior Matt Sessions while the Carey bullpen was solid allowing just one hit in the final two innings.

With the win Carey improves to 31-20 on the season.

The Crusaders return to action on Friday as they take on Spring Hill College in GCAC play. First pitch for the Friday doubleheader is set for 3:00 pm at Milton Wheeler Field.
