Mobile, Ala. – Spring Hill College senior catcher and designated hitter Tyler Moberg was selected as a second team member of the "ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District" team for District 4 in CoSIDA's College Division as announced on Thursday afternoon.  The Pre-Med major from Mobile's Faith Academy was recognized by the national organization of sports information directors for his outstanding academic achievements over his four-year career with the Badgers baseball program. 

The award recognizes athletes holding a career GPA of 3.2 or higher while at the same time making significant on-field contributions to their team.

Moberg played in 52 of the Badgers 56 games in 2008 with 50 starts.  For the season, he hit .244 with 27 RBI and three homeruns.  Behind the plate, Moberg gunned down 11 attempted base-stealers and finished the year with a fielding percentage of .943.
