Following a stellar career at LSUS, Porter established himself as one of the best players in college basketball in 2007-08 while earning the GCAC Player of the Year award and several All-America honors.
Porter finished his senior season averaging 22 points, which places him second all-time on the LSUS single-season scoring list. Porter finished his career at LSUS with 1,430 points (20.1 PPG) while compiling a 63-8 record in a Pilots uniform.
The deal comes less than three months after Porter led the Pilots to a record-breaking season, which included 31 wins, a GCAC regular season championship and the Pilots' third consecutive GCAC Tournament title.
Porter is the first LSUS men's basketball player to sign a professional contract, and he is expected to report on August 11.
