New Orleans, La.- Spring Hill needed all five sets to advance to the GCAC Tournament semifinals as the Lady Badgers defeated the Dillard Lady Blue Devils 3-2 (19-25, 25-18, 25-16, 20-25, 15-9) Friday night at The Den.

 

The Badgers (15-22) were led by Sarah Stacey's 17 kills. Elizabeth Burkenstock contributed seven blocks and three aces. Rachel Williams also got three serves to fall in for aces. Defensively, Sally Reese got a team high 29 digs.

 

The Blue Devils (5-15) got a team high seven kills by Macyonna Campbell. Danta Cobb assisted on 16 Blue Devil points. On the back line, Keisha Smoke dug out 22 Badger attacks.

 

The Blue Devils will now face Belhaven in an elimination match set for 9 am Saturday. The winner of that match will face Mobile at noon. Spring Hill will face Loyola in the second semifinal of the day, scheduled for 3 pm, all in The Den.
