New Orleans, La.- # 23 Mobile earned the first spot in the 2008 GCAC Tournament Championship Match by beating Dillard 3-0 (25-17, 25-8, 25-15) Saturday afternoon at The Den.

Dillard got a team high two kills from Tawonna Cage and Macyonna Campbell. Danta Cobb assisted on six Blue Devil points. Banikah Jackson got Dillard's lone ace in the match. At the net, Cage, Roshawnda Buchanan and Keisha Smoke each tallied two blocks. The Lady Blue Devils end their season with a 6-16 record.

Mobile (31-3) was led offensively by Paula Stilkey, who had 13 kills and six blocks. Whitney Knight contributed seven kills, and four service aces in the win. The Lady Rams now advance to the GCAC Championship Match at 6 pm tonight in The Den. They will face the winner of the Spring Hill/Loyola match for an automatic berth to the NAIA National Championship Tournament.
