Waxahachie, Texas - The LSUS Lady Pilots improved to 3-1 on Saturday night with a 71-60 win over Central Baptist at the SAGU Classic.

LSUS jumped out to an early lead in the first half, and took an 11-point (36-25) advantage into the break.

The second half saw each team battle back-and-forth throughout the final 20 minutes, but Central Baptist was unable to cut into the Lady Pilots lead, as LSUS held on for the win.

Whitney Hollins led a host of four Lady Pilots in double figures with 14 points, while Valerie Huizar and Tish Flowers each had 13 and Amanda Perkins added 12.

The Lady Pilots shot a scorching 53% from the three-point line in the contest, while holding Central Baptist to just 36% from beyond the arc. 

LSUS also won the rebounding battle 39-36, which included 12 offensive rebounds for the Lady Pilots.  Quan Joseph once again recorded double-digit rebounds, finishing with a game-high 10 boards.

The Lady Pilots will be off until next Friday when they take on LeTourneau University in Marshall.
