Marshall, Texas - The LSUS Pilots used a barrage of three pointers and a record night from behind the arc to pick up a huge overtime victory on the road Wednesday night, defeating Wiley College 83-77 at the Alumni Gym.

LSUS outscored the home team 11-5 in the extra five minutes, as Jared Stevenson, John Anthony Anglin and Chris Gatlin each connected on a three-point basket to help lift the Pilots to victory.

The Pilots jumped out to an early 21-5 lead to begin the game on 5-for-5 shooting from behind the three, but the Wildcats would battle back and trail by just 10 at the break.

Wiley went on a 20-5 run to start the second half, taking a five point lead over the visitors from LSUS.  The game continued to go back-and-forth throughout the next 13 minutes before the Pilots rallied from a five-point deficit with four minutes to play to take a two-point lead.

Leading by two points with just 20 seconds remaining, LSUS picked up an offensive foul giving Wiley one last shot to send the game into overtime.  With four seconds left, LSUS looked to have picked up the big stop they needed, but a foul on the rebound sent Wiley's Rafael Johnson to the line with a chance to tie the game.  Johnson connected on both free throws and the Pilots were unable to get off a shot as time expired.

In addition to the three overtime threes, the Pilots finished the contest 17-for-17 from the three-point line according to the Wiley College stats crew. Gatlin led the way with 7 threes, while Anglin hit 5, Tyrone Hamilton added 3 of his own and Jared Stevenson with 2.

Hamilton scored a game-high 27 points and dished out a game-high 11 assists for the Pilots, while Gatlin poured in a career-high 23 points and collected 10 rebounds for the double-double.  Anglin and Stevenson also finished in double figures with 15 and 13 points apiece.

LSUS (2-3) snapped its first three-game losing streak in school history with the win, and will look to move to .500 on the season this weekend in Dallas versus UT-Tyler.
