New Orleans, La.- Loyola's men's basketball team will try to match their best start in 55 years when the Wolfpack hosts the NCAA D-III Majors of Millsaps College at 5:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon at The Den.

 

Through the first four games of the season, the Wolfpack (4-0) have five players averaging double figure points. Ryan Brock, a sophomore transfer from UNO, is averaging 23.3 points on 53% shooting. Junior shooting guard Sean Bennett is putting in 12.5 points per game. Junior point guard Torry Beaulieu is scoring 11.5 points per game on 68% shooting overall while hitting 70% from above the three point arc. Beaulieu also has a team high 5.8 assists a contest. Freshman shooting guard Corey Gray is giving the Wolfpack 10.3 points per game off the bench. Junior forward Nick Tuszynski drops in ten points a game and had the game-winning three-point play against Philander Smith in Tuesday night's victory.

 

The Majors (0-1) lost their first game of the season to Belhaven 76-57 last Saturday night at Rugg Arena. They will come into The Den for the second game of a two game swing. They play at Louisiana College Friday night. Blake Martinez and Chris Ingle were the only two Majors to score double-digits at Belhaven. Martinez put in 17 and Ingle scored 12 in the loss. Chad Songy had nine points and six assists against the Blazers. Chris Sanders had a team high six rebounds.

 

The Wolfpack and Majors will tip off at 5:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon in The Den.
