New Orleans, La. - Loyola University New Orleans women's head basketball coach Kellie Kennedy has announced the signings of Adriene Easley, Madeline Gagneaux, and Libby Collyer for the 2009-10 recruiting class.

Adriene Easley, a 5'8 guard, comes to Loyola after graduating from Marcus High in Flower Mound, Texas. As a senior, she averaged 16.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.5 steals a game for the Maruders. Easley led her team to a 6-5A district championship while being named the district's Most Valuable Player. Easley is a member of the English Honor Society and plans to major in business or political science at Loyola.

"Adriene is a great fit at Loyola," says Coach Kennedy. "She is a very good student and a tremendous athlete. She will be able to score, rebound, and defend. She will make an immediate impact for the Wolfpack".

Madeline Gagneaux, a 5'11 forward from Redemptorist High in Baton Rouge, averaged 13.3 points and 2.1 assists per game. Defensively, she averaged 8.8 rebounds, 1.8 blocks and 1.3 steals for the Wolves. Along with being named 3A All-State and All-Metro as a senior, Gagneaux was also named first-team All-District three times in her career. In addition, she was awarded 8-3A Most Valuable Field Athlete twice in track and named first-team All District is softball as a junior.

Libby Collyer, a 6'3 post player from Heritage High in Colleyville, Texas, averaged 12 points and eight rebounds a game. Collyer was team captain as a senior where she led the Panthers to a District 5-5A championship while being named All-District. She was also a member of the track and field for three years. Originally from Toronto, Canada, Collyer is an exceptional student, being named to the National Honors Society as well as the French National Honors Society.

"Madeline and Libby will bring Loyola size in the post and a much needed paint presence," says Kennedy. "Madeline is a strong, powerful forward who will be able to score and defend. Libby, with her 6'3 frame, will be one of the tallest players to play at Loyola. She will also add a defensive presence and will give the Wolfpack rebounding on both ends of the floor".
