NEW ORLEANS, LA - The Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO) basketball program has focused its energy on gathering big recruits. The Knights gained Kenny Hicks, a center out of California as well as Craig Kemp, a forward out of Texas.

Hicks is a 6'10" and 245 lb. native of Natchez, Mississippi. The Natchez High School product transferred from Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga, California. While with the Chaffey Panthers, Hicks averaged 10 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks per game. Hicks will major in Psychology at SUNO.

Kemp prepped at Centerville High School in Centerville, Louisiana, and transferred from Southwest Christian College in Terrell, Texas. The 6'7", 195 lb. forward was an All-Conference selection with the Southwest Christian Rams. While at Centerville, Kemp gathered honors as an All-District All-Region and player, and he played in the 2006 Louisiana All-Star game. Kemp will major in General Studies.
