Assistant Men's Basketball Coach
Xavier University of Louisiana
Full-time, 12-month position
Responsibilities: Duties include assisting the head coach in all aspects of daily operations of a NAIA Division I intercollegiate men's basketball program, including, but not limited to, recruiting, on-court coaching, scouting, and game and practice preparation.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree: Collegiate coaching experience including demonstrated experience in the recruiting process of qualified student-athletes; thorough knowledge of NAIA regulations; knowledge of and prior experience with administration of collegiate team travel; strong organizational, communication, and public relations skills; and computer literate.
Preferred Qualifications: Collegiate men's basketball playing experience and specialized coaching with the perimeter or post players, experience in preparation of scouting reports; and prior experience of community outreach and/or involvement with university activities. This position requires a strong commitment to the athlete's academic success.
