Birmingham, Ala. -The Spring Hill College women's golf team finished in 8th position after the final round of the Southern Shootout in Birmingham, Ala., hosted by Birmingham-Southern College.
 

As a team, the Lady Badgers shot a combined 2-day total of 656 (325, 331) over the par-70, 5801-yard Timberlake Golf Course on Sunday

Sophomore AnnMarie Coan of St, Louis, Mo., carded a 154 (73, 81, +14) and slipped to a tie for 11th place overall after a +3 opening round on Sunday when she ended the day in 3rd place.

Other individual scores included junior Victoria Gonzalez from Miami, Fla., in 16th place with a 158 (81, 77, +18) who shaved four strokes off her score on Day 2.   Junior Jasmine Bowers from Mobile's Murphy High School finished 35th with a combined 169 (81, 88, +29) while freshman Chelsea Mayer came in 41st with a score of 178 (90, 88, +38) and freshman Blake Wagner rounded out the SHC scores at 179 (94, 85, +39) in 42nd position.

The Lady Badgers next play in Santa Rosa, Fla., at the Santa Rosa Beach Fall Finale hosted by Huntingdon College on October 4-5, 2009.
