GULFPORT, Miss. - The Spring Hill College men's golf team finished in 7th place of 15 teams at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Invitational at Windance Country Club in Gulfport, Miss., on Tuesday.
The Badgers shot a combined 617 (313, 304, +41) over the par-72, 6659-yard course.
Individually, junior Eddie Smith of Houston, Texas, shot a final score of 149 (75, 74, +5) for 13th place out of 91 total competitors while fellow junior Javier Portal of Miami, Fla., carded a 156 (80, 76, +12) for 40th position.
Senior Will Loweth of Houston finished 47th with scores of 83 and 74 for a 157 (+13) total. Chuck Balsamico shot a 15-over par 159 (79, 80) for 54th place and freshman Joseph Webster closed with a 163 total (79, 84, +19) and tied for 68th position.
The Badgers will next play in the University of Mobile Fall Classic at Mobile's Azalea City Golf Course on November 2-3.
