MOBILE, Ala. - Sophomore Will Kirkikis of Kenner, La., ran the 7th best 5-kilometer time in Spring Hill College men's cross country history to pace the Badgers to a first place finish at the University of Mobile Rampage on Saturday morning.  Kirkikis finished with a winning time of 17:11.43.
 

As a team, the Badgers' placed five of the top six finishers and clocked a total time of 1:27:46.35 for a final score of 19 points and an average time of 17:33.27.

Other SHC runners included freshman John Redman (3 points) of Spanish Fort (Ala.) High School with a time of 17:29.09, sophomore Christian Boyer (4 points) from Mobile's McGill-Toolen Catholic High School at 17:33.63, sophomore Brian Otero (5 points) from Miami, Fla., at 17:40.79, senior Mark Kirkikis (6 points) from Kenner at 17:51.41, freshman Ben Pace (7 points) from Dallas, Texas, at 17:52.49, and freshman Garrett Schumacher (12 points) from Spanish Fort High at 18:21.89.

Non-scoring runners for the Badgers included sophomore Brandon Arquette of Greenville, S.C., at 18:26.81 (16th of 37 runners) and junior Robbie Farrell (33rd) from McGill-Toolen at 22:23.99.

SHC next runs at the GCAC Championships at Clinton, Miss., on November 7.
