New Orleans, LA - The Dillard cross country teams participated at the University of Mobile Rampage Invitational, Saturday morning, held on Mobile's campus.  Both the men and women competed in five kilometer events.
 

Anthony Hingle led the Dillard men in a time of 19:23, for 21st place, besting his previous mark of 21:23.  He was followed by Byron Myles in 22nd place, who ran the course in 19:29 - improving his season mark of 21:49.  Sherman Coleman rounded out the top three DU runners, with his time of 20:40.  As a team, the men placed fifth out of five, with a total of 37 runners competing.

On the women's side, Jasmyn Fine was the first to cross the finish line for the Lady Bleu Devils, placing 24th out of 31 racers in a time of 27:05.  She was followed by teammates Ebone Pierce (27:17, 25th), who improved her previous best of 28:44, and Taaler Johnson (29:41, 27th).  With five teams competing, the women's team placed fourth. Mobile's Lady Rams did not place and had only two runners in the event.

The Bleu Devils are idle next weekend, but preparing for the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Championships scheduled for November 7 in Clinton, Miss.  The races will be held at Choctaw Trails, starting at 8:30 a.m.
