The SUNO Knights have begun their season 2-0 after defeating Texas College 78-74 tonight at The Castle.  Last season the Knights suffered through a 3-25 season.  Dale Valdery is in his second year as SUNO's head coach.
Xavier Francis helped secure the victory for SUNO in the closing minute with two critical free throws.  The Knights were led by former Delgado standout, Ricardo Porter, with 18 points; and Ronald "Chris" Palmer led in rebounds with 11.  

Jacobie Bias led the Texas College Steers in scoring with 23 points.

The SUNO Lady Knights are also off to a 2-0 start after defeating Judson College 87-51 on Tuesday.
