The University of Mobile will travel to Daytona Beach, Fla. to battle No. 4 seed Embry-Riddle Saturday, Nov. 21.
The winners from the 15 National Championship Opening Round games will advance along with host school Fresno Pacific to the National Championship final site NOv. 30 - Dec. 5 in Fresno, Calif.
Mobile (9-10) is making its 13th appearance at nationals, including the third straight trip. The Rams have advanced to the Final Four six times, winning it all in 2002.
Embry-Riddle (12-3-4) is making its 7th trip, including six trips in the past seven years. Embry-Riddle and Mobile have a recent history, as the Eagles knocked Mobile out of the National Championship two years ago, and the Rams beat them 1-0 in Mobile this season.
The Eagles out shot Mobile 16-11 in that game, but Mobile won the game on a David Maddren goal in the 65th minute.
The 18th-ranked Eagles have not lost since dropping a 2-0 game to Flagler on Sept. 30. Since, they have gone 6-0-3. They have shutout opponents eight times and held them to one goal on nine other occasions, allowing more than one goal only twice.
Mobile is on a season-best four-game winning streak, outscoring opponents 12-2 in that stretch that includes wins over No. 23 Belhaven and No. 9 William Carey. In the 15 games prior to this four game stretch, Mobile had scored only 15 goals.
