Vancouver, Wash. - The Loyola University New Orleans cross country teams wrapped up their 2009 season on Saturday, with three runners competing in the NAIA National Championships held at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site in Vancouver, Washington.

Freshman Kieran Harper ran the 8k for the men, finishing with a time of 30:00, placing 310th.  Harper's time for the nationals was 49 seconds behind his personal best, which he set in the GCAC Championships.  Silas Kisorio of Oklahoma Christian took the individual title, completing the race with a time of 24:23, and Malone grabbed the team title with a 25:18 team average.

For the women, freshman Hannah Dougherty was the top GCAC runner, placing 223rd in the 5k with a time of 20:51.  Senior Madeline Falcone was next for Loyola with a time of 22:14, placing 294th overall.  The women's individual champion was Shorter College's Justyna Mudy, who ran a time of 17:30.  Cal St. San Marcos captured the team title, averaging 19:00 as a team.
