New Orleans, La. - The SUNO Knights started fast with a 16-9 lead only to fall to LSU-Shreveport (LSUS) 65-56 Saturday night in The Castle.  The Knights had command of the game through the beginning of the second half, but LSUS took charge of the game with just over 13 minutes left in the game.

SUNO (6-11,1-8) was up by 6 with a 30-24 lead at the half.  LSUS (19-2 ,8-1) took control of the game with 12:53 left when they went up 44-39, but SUNO rallied back to tie the game at 56 with 4:11 left.  As a back-and-forth scoring battle ensued, the Pilots eventually prevailed to pull away with 1:27 left.

Lionel Green led SUNO in scoring with 19 points, and both Ricardo Porter and Ronald Palmer had the most rebounds with 7, each.  Brent Leduff led in steals with 4.  Palmer also had 10 points.

The Pilots' Derrick Parker had a very productive night with 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks.  Mark Jackson contributed 11 points, and Greg Shyne put in 10 points.

The Knights will host Loyola on Thursday night for a 7:30 tip off.
