New Orleans, La. - Tyesha Robinson, a guard for the SUNO Lady Knights, has been selected the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference's Freshman of the Year.

Robinson came to SUNO from Washington, D.C. where she played for Luke C. Moore Academy. She led the Lady Knights in scoring with 303 total points to average 12.12 points per game. She also contributed 92 total assists to average 3.92 per game placing her second on the team. Robinson, who played 25 games, was third on the team in steals with 38.
