Hylton Campbell was a semifinalist in the 60 meter dash, and he qualified for the 200 meter dash. Hampered by injuries and inexperience, the University's heralded 4 x 400 relay team qualified; but did not reach the final heat. Other qualifiers included Mekel Downer in the 200 meter dash and All-American Norbert Miller in the 400 meter dash. Both runners are nursing injuries.
