Atlanta, Ga. - Trenese Smith, a senior guard/forward for the Loyola University New Orleans women's basketball team, was recently named as one of the 29 finalists for the WBCA State Farm Coaches' All-America Team.
 

Smith, a native of LaPlace, La., led the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference in scoring this season with 17.1 points per game which ranked 20th in the NAIA. She was named All-GCAC for the fourth time and closes out her career as the Wolfpack's all-time leading scorer with 2,439 points.

 

The 29 finalists, who are voted upon by Women's Basketball Coaches Association member coaches in each of the six WBCA geographical regions, are now in the running for selection to the 10-member State Farm Coaches' All-America Team. 

 

The 2010 State Farm Coaches' All-America Team for NAIA will be announced at the NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Championship Banquet on March 16, 2010, at the Jackson Civic Center in Jackson, Tenn.
