Westwego, La. - The Loyola University New Orleans baseball team completed the two-game series sweep of NCAA-III Blackburn College with a 17-0 victory on Wednesday night at Segnette Field.

Loyola (7-10) scored five in the first, one in the second, and had their second straight seven-run fourth inning. The Wolfpack added four in the fifth before the game was called due to lightning and rain.

Loyola was led by Caleb Templet, Brooks McMinn, and Chris May with three hits each. Tyler Duplantis had four RBI on two hits, and Templet brought in three. McMinn capped off the fourth inning with a three-run shot, his third straight game with a home run.

Cody Unser (0-1) suffered the loss for the Beavers, giving up nine earned runs on 12 hits. Blackburn (1-6) had three players with one hit each.

In the first, Templet brought in the first two runs for Loyola on a single. Duplantis followed suit with a two-run single, and a wild pitch made the score 5-0 Loyola.

The Wolfpack escaped the second inning after Blackburn loaded the bases, then Templet added another run in Loyola's half with a two-out double.

Templet started the scoring in the fourth with an RBI single. Following a 2-run double by May, Taylor Domengeaux plated two with a single. With two runners on, McMinn then laced his third home run of the season to make the score 13-0.

Loyola tacked on four in the final inning to take the game 17-0.
