NEW ORLEANS (March 18, 2010) - Xavier University of Louisiana will conduct men's basketball tryouts Saturday (March 20) for prospects graduating high school in the spring of 2010.
     Tryouts will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Barn, Xavier's campus gymnasium.
     There is no charge to attend or participate in the tryout. Prospects should bring a DVD of themselves in competition and a current academic transcript. Contact assistant coach Alfred Williams at (504) 520-6778 or awilli39@xula.edu for more information.
     Xavier has a rich tradition in men's basketball which includes:
     •  11 appearances in the NAIA Division I National Championship, including four straight from 2004-08.
     •  The most 20-win seasons (25) in the history of Louisiana men's college basketball.
     •  No losing seasons since 1989-90.
