Kansas City, Mo. - Senior Trenese Smith of the Loyola University New Orleans women's basketball team was named NAIA All-American honorable mention, marking the fourth time in her career she has garnered NAIA All-American honors.
 

Smith, who was recently named WBCA All-American, took honorable mention for the second time in her career after leading the GCAC in scoring at 17.1 points per game. She scored in double figures in all but two games and reached the 20-point plateau 13 times this season including a season-high 28 points in a win over #7 Lambuth University.

 

Smith, a four-time All-GCAC recipient and three-time conference player of the year, leaves Loyola as the all-time leading scorer with 2,439 points. Along with the individual accolades, she guided the Wolfpack to an overall team record of 104-39 (.727), three regular season GCAC championships, and three appearances in the NAIA National Tournament.
