In the first contest, the Badgers fell down 4-0 early when Carey's Jason Terrell connected for a Grand Slam in the 1st inning off SHC starter David Dupuy (2-4).
Trailing 5-1, the Badgers rallied for two runs in the 4th inning when Blake Nelson plated a run off a fielder's choice and Justin Harrison ripped an RBI single.
Terrell blasted a solo shot in the 5th frame for WCU, but Spring Hill came back to score a run in the 6th off a ground out by Brad Holstein and then brought the tying run to the plate with two outs. Nelson's fly ball to Terrell in right, however, ended the threat.
Dupuy took the complete-game loss and allowed seven hits with three walks and five strikeouts. Matt Carter (4-0) was the winner for Carey giving up 10 hits and two walks while striking out six Badgers.
Shortstop Ryan Cummings was 3-for-4 and Harrison was 2-for-3 for SHC as was Bobby Voss. Terrell had two hits, both homers, and five RBIs for WCU. Jacob Casey also added two singles to the Crusaders' totals.
The second game opened much like the first, but this time the Badgers scored four runs in the first inning with six hits off Carey starter Kody James (1-1). The first five Badger batters hit singles and Andy McCall added the sixth single with a 2-RBI bounder up the middle.
Before the night was over, Spring Hill pounded out 20 hits and 14 runs off five Crusader pitchers. Every Badger hitter except the two catchers recorded multiple hits led by Holstein's 4-for-6, 3-RBI effort. Cummings had three hits and an RBI while Andy McCall slapped three hits for three RBI, including a triple. Pat O'Malley had two hits, one of which was a 3-RBI double in the 4th inning.
Joe Baumgartner (1-4) was the winner in 5.1 innings of work while Lawrence Trunk got the save in 3.2 innings pitched. Baumgartner allowed just two hits with seven walks and a strikeout.
Terrell continued his assault on the SHC pitchers with two more dingers including his second Grand Slam of the twin bill in the 7th inning. All told, he tallied four hits (all homers), two Grand Slams, and 12 RBI on the day. Josh Dannelley added a 2-run homer for WCU in the 6th inning.
