PENSACOLA, Fla-- The University of Mobile baseball team dropped an 8-2 game at NCAA II University of West Florida Tuesday.

Mobile (15-22, 8-14) visits Loyola University-New Orleans for a three-game Gulf Coast Athletic Conference series beginning Friday, April 2 at 6 pm.

The UWF Argos pounded Mobile's pitchers for 8 runs on 19 hits, while the Mobile bats managed only five hits in the game. Josh Reed grabbed the win for UWF by throwing 5 innings of 3-hit, shutout ball. Jarrin Brister took the loss after giving up 3 runs on 8 hits in 3 innings of action.

Travis Williamson finished 1-3 with a solo homer for Mobile, while Cody Barber went 1-3 with 1 RBI at the plate.

Brandon Brewer went 3-4 with 3 RBI for West Florida, while Ryan Day, Zach Cates and Greg Pron each added 3 hits. Jack Materne added 2 RBI and Zach Taylor and Tyler Hastings each added a pair of hits for the Argos.
