Hattiesburg, Miss. - The Gulf Coast Athletic Conference announced today the players of the week for the week ending April 11, 2010.
Notes: Joe Carter allowed 15th-ranked Belhaven just five hits in his complete-game shutout on Saturday afternoon. It was his second shutout of the year and moved his record to 4-2. His ERA stands at 3.57 with 20 strikeouts in 45.1 innings pitched.
Notes: This week Ryan Cummings went 6-for-6 versus Selma University, tying the NAIA record for second most hits in a single game. He currently has the most total hits in the NAIA (73), the most at bats (164), and is sixth in total assists.
Notes: Pickette picked up both of Mobile's wins on the week, including a victory over 14th-ranked William Carey.
Notes: Logan was the lone SHC singles winner on No. 1 against Belhaven's Henry Mant
Notes: Improved to 3-0 in singles and 3-0 in doubles in three years against NCAA Division I opponent Southern University.
