Kansas City, MO-The Belhaven softball team stayed in the number seven spot in the latest NAIA Softball Coaches' Top 25 Poll when it was announced by the NAIA on Tuesday afternoon.

The Blazers own an overall record of 37-5 after having swept Judson College (AL) in a non-conference doubleheader last week and split a Gulf Coast Athletic Conference doubleheader against William Carey University this past Saturday. On Monday afternoon, Belhaven split a GCAC doubleheader against Spring Hill College in a pair of 1-0 contests. The Blazers are in first place in the GCAC standings with a conference mark of 10-2 leading 16th ranked William Carey and 25th ranked University of Mobile in league play.

The Blazers will travel to Chicago for six more games this week. Belhaven will face three ranked teams on the trip including 21st ranked St. Xavier University, 24th ranked Olivet Nazarene University, and 25th ranked Columbia College (Mo), who is tied with Mobile at 25th in the country. The Blazers will kick off the series of six games with a doubleheader against St. Xavier on Thursday afternoon starting at 3:00 PM.
