Ho had a successful high school career at St. Martin Episcopal in Metairie, qualifying for regionals all four years. In addition, his 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams made regionals as well. He was named move improved as a sophomore, most valuable as a senior, and helped lead the track team to consecutive district championships in 2008 and 2009.
"Andrew is a tremendous athlete who has quick feet and strength," said Coach Canegitta. "I am excited to have an opportunity to be part of his athletic and academic career at Loyola and to help him attain his full potential. He will make an immediate impact in our track program."
Ho's personal best times are 11.08 in the 100-meter and 23.1 in the 200-meter. He also played football at St. Martin's where he was named most improved as a junior, and in his senior season, was elected team captain and earned honorable mention honors.
