AISLYN TAYLOR
AISLYN TAYLOR
New Orleans, LA - Trading in her Red Devil uniform to become a Lady Bleu Devil, Aislyn Taylor became Dillard's first softball recruit to sign on for 2010-11, head coach Yolanda Brown announced today.  The shortstop from Germantown High School (Memphis, TN) is a four-year letterwinner and was the team's most valuable player for the past two seasons.

"We are excited to have an athlete of her caliber coming to Dillard," said Brown.  "She will be an asset to the Bleu Devil Softball Program for the next four years."

An All-District and All-Area player, Taylor adds a base stealing threat to next year's lineup.  She also plays on the Mid-South Predators travel team that won the 2009 National Fast Pitch World Series.

"She has speed and an uncanny ability to get on base," said Brown.  "I've never seen a person run the bases as well as Aislyn."

Taylor is not only a gifted athlete, but a gifted student as well with a 3.9 grade point average.  She is a member of Germantown's Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society) and Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica (Spanish National Honor Society).
