New Orleans, LA - The Dillard women's softball team's struggles continued Tuesday afternoon, as they lost their Gulf Coast Athletic Conference finale to visiting Spring Hill College, 20-0, 20-0, in doubleheader action at LaSalle Park.  DU sits in last place with a league record of 0-16 and 2-23, overall.

Sophomore Alexis Billiot (3B/P, Marrero, La.) was a bright spot for the Lady Bleu Devils, going 2-for-4 with one walk and four steals, on the day.  Amber McCoy (SS, Addis, La.) and freshman Faron Bradley (CF, Dallas, Tx.) had some success on defense at the shortstop and center field positions, respectively, but it wasn't enough to stop the offensive attack of the Lady Badgers.  In game two, at the top of the fifth inning, Spring Hill loaded the bases five consecutive at bats, garnering four RBI's before head coach Alison Sellers-Cook called the inning.

With one more chance left, Bradley snagged a hit and a steal but, with the next two batters striking out, could not make it to home plate.  Spring Hill, currently in fourth place, improved to 5-9 in the GCAC, 20-25 overall.

Dillard will travel to Selma, Alabama to face the Lady Hornets of Concordia College for the second time in as many weeks on Saturday, April 24.  Doubleheader action begins at 2 p.m., at the Selma Softball Complex.
