Shreveport, La.- The LSU Shreveport Pilots baseball team moved up one spot to #12 in the 4th release of the year in the NAIA Baseball Coaches' Top 25 Poll that was released on Tuesday afternoon.

The Pilots added another big win to their resume for the 2010 campaign with a convincing 12-4 with over the #1 team in all three Top 25 polls in NCAA Division II, Southern Arkansas University. The win came one week after the Pilots took down NCAA Division I's Louisiana Tech University by a final score of 10-7.

LSU Shreveport could impress the voters again this week with a double header against Northwood University of the Red River Athletic Conference. Northwood received enough notes for a 26th ranking in this week's poll. The Pilots and Knights are scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. first pitch in game one of a double dip on Wednesday afternoon at Knights field in Cedar Hill, Texas.

The Pilots will be on the road again this week after a three-game series sweep over Loyola last weekend in Westwego by final scores of 7-3 in game one, 26-3 in game two, and a 9-2 final score on Sunday.

This weekend the Pilots will travel to Tougaloo, Mississippi, for another three-game series versus the Tougaloo Bulldogs. If LSUS sweeps Tougaloo for three games and William Carey defeats Belhaven in one of their three games this weekend then the Pilots would propel to the top of the GCAC standings.
