Kansas City, MO-The Belhaven softball team continued their rise in the rankings by moving up one spot to 5^th the latest NAIA Softball Coaches' Top 25 Poll when it was announced by the NAIA on Tuesday afternoon.

The Blazers own an overall record of 48-6 following the conclusion of their regular season this past Friday. Last week Belhaven went 5-1 with wins over the University of Mobile, Spring Hill College, and Freed-Hardeman University. The Blazers 4-0 shutout of Mobile clinched the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference regular season championship. GCAC rivals William Carey University and the University of Mobile are ranked 16^th and 20^th respectively.

Belhaven will be back in action on Thursday when they open up the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Tournament in Gulf Shores, AL. The Blazers will play the winner of the Dillard/Spring Hill game starting at 5:00 PM.
