SHREVEPORT, La.- The #12 LSU Shreveport Pilots and the University of Mobile Rams will begin game one of a three-game series beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Friday morning at Pilot Field with the threat a severe weather moving into the area in the afternoon. The impending storms have also adjusted the schedule for the double header on Saturday with the first pitch to be thrown also at 11:00 a.m. To listen live to all three games visit the LSUS baseball web page at www.lsus.edu/baseballand utilize the Teamline link at the bottom left part of the page.
The Pilots still invite all area youth baseball players out to Pilot Field this Saturday for Youth Baseball Day. The Pilots welcome all Shreveport Dixie Youth, Shreveport Little League and all other area youth baseball organization's players to Saturday's double header which begins now at 11:00 a.m.

All players that wear their uniform will receive free admission to Saturday's games in addition to two adults with each player.

The Pilots hosted a clinic earlier in the year for Shreveport Little League and the Opening Ceremonies for Shreveport Dixie at Pilot Field to kick off their season back on Monday night, April 4th.

"It was exciting to host the opening ceremonies at our park. We consider it an honor for Dixie to let us host their big event at the beginning of the year; we hope that this becomes an annual event. Coach Brent Porche did a fine job this year coordinating each event with the youth leagues," said LSUS head coach, Rocke Musgraves.

In addition to Youth Day at Pilot Field on Saturday, nine seniors will be honored before game one as a part of Senior Day.

Earlier in the season the Pilots took two of three from Mobile in Alabama.

The Pilots enter the final weekend half a game behind the Blazers of Belhaven University for first place in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference. LSU Shreveport must win one more game this weekend than Belhaven to claim their second GCAC regular season title. Belhaven is on the road versus the Loyola Wolfpack.
