Hattiesburg, Miss. - The Gulf Coast Athletic Conference announced today the players of the week for the week ending May 2, 2010.
Notes: Broyles racked up 13 more strikeouts this week with 10 of them coming in four innings of work against Loyola over the weekend. He also earned his 11th save of the season in Belhaven's regular season finale on Saturday at Loyola. Broyles now has a total of 61 strikeouts in 32.1 innings pitched this year.
Notes: Came on in relief against No. 5 Belhaven in Championship and worked 6 innings of shut out ball to power WCU to the GCAC tournament title
Notes: Rice qualified for nationals for the 4th-straight year (first two as a team, last two as an individual).
