New Orleans, La. - Southern University at New Orleans has released its 2010 volleyball schedule.  Entering its second season in University history, the team will be once again led by Coach Wendy Magee.

Posting an inaugural season record of 1-17, SUNO Volleyball's schedule has its first serve of the season scheduled on September 1st against area rivals the University of New Orleans, who is scheduled to move to NCAA Division III.  The Lady Knights will have its first 2010 home game against Concordia College-Selma only three days later on September 4th with its first conference match-up against crosstown rivals, the Xavier Gold Nuggets on September 7th.

Perhaps the most anticipated matches by the SUNO student body will be against the Lady Knights' sister squad, the Lady Jaguars of Southern University and A&M College.  SUNO will travel to Baton Rouge on October 18th, then host Southern during Homecoming Week on November 2nd.

SUNO will also enter tournament play at the Austin College Invitational in Sherman, Texas on September 10th and 11th.  Austin participates in the NCAA Division III's Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
