New Orleans, LA - Dillard University's track and field coach Bobby Williams, Jr. has announced the signing of four athletes to compete for the Bleu Devils beginning in the 2010-11 season.

Joining the team will be Rosenberg (Tx.) Terry High School's Rudy Garza and Ladalrius Miller and, on the women's side, Courtney Henry (John Ehret H.S.) and Sandreka Keller (Edna Karr Magnet) will represent for the Lady Bleu Devils.

Garza will be the first in his family to attend college.  He is a two-year letterman who competes in the 110 and 300 meter hurdles, and the 400 and 800 meter races.  Running a time of 50.87, Garza helped his team to a second place finish in the boys 400 meter relay at district competition, this spring.  Miller was his teammate and also ran a leg on the 400 meter relay.

Henry had her senior year cut short due to injury, but as a junior she ran a personal best of 12.3 in the girls 100 meters to help Ehret to the overall district championship title.  She also competes in the 4 x 100, 4 x 200, and triple jump.  Henry, a member of the National Honors Society who graduated with honors, plans to become a doctor specializing in gynecology and obstetrics.

Keller competes and has posted personal bests in the 100 (12.34), 200 (24.39) and 400 meter races (58.00).  She was named Miss Track and Field for the 2009-2010 school year.
