Clinton, Miss. - Monicah Jepkemboi, the SUNO Lady Knights' lone 2009 All-GCAC runner came back strong by winning the non-Division I section of the MC/Watson Ford Invitational. The meet, hosted by Mississippi College, included three categories for non-award runners, Division I runners, and non-Division I athletes. Jepkemboi, a sophomore, finished with a time of 24:09.08.
Trudy-Ann Williams finished 18th with a time of 26:12, and Rispha Sang finished 45th with a time of 30:06. On the men's side, Gawain Kiffin finished was the only Knight to finish in the top 50, placing 35th with a time of 30:18.
SUNO's women finished 7th among the non-Division I teams, and the men finished 8th among the non-Division I teams. The Knights and Lady Knights will return to Clinton to compete in the Choctaw Open on October 16th.
