Hattiesburg, Miss. - The Gulf Coast Athletic Conference announced today the players of the week for the week ending January 22, 2012.
Men's Basketball - Player of the Week
Notes: Career-high 23 points and 13 rebounds in win against Philander Smith. Had 17 points and 9 rebounds in second half to help Xavier erase a seven-point halftime deficit . . . Scored 14 points against Talladega, five during an 11-2 second-half run which gave Xavier the lead for good. The victory against Talladega vaulted Xavier into first place in the GCAC.
