Men's Basketball - Tue, Jun. 12, 2012
Tougaloo, MS-Season Three of MasterChef continued last night with 36 cooks vying to make it into the MasterChef kitchen.  Of the 36 cooks, only 18 would remain with an apron, leaving 18 to leave the show.  Tougaloo's Joshua Marks, advanced one step closer to becoming Season Three's MasterChef.

After MasterChef judges chose 36 cooks for compete for the chance to advance to the MasterChef kitchen, the contestants were given their first challange.  Each contestant had one hour to prepare a dish using ground beef.  The judges asked that the contestants be creative with their dish.

At the end of the hour, the judges placed some of the cooks in groups.  Marks was placed in a group with eleven other cooks.  There was also another group of twelve cooks.  One of the twelve would automatically advance to the MasterChef kitchen because of their great and creative dishes, and the other group would come to the end of the road.  The group of twelve containing Marks would automatically advance to the MasterChef kitchen, placing Marks one step closer to becoming Season Three's MasterChef.

Marks, a 2009 graduate of Tougaloo College, played on the men's basketball 2007 championship team.  Marks is a native of Chicago, IL and now resides in Jackson, MS.  Marks enjoys cooking and he is very confident that he will go all the way in the competition.
