New Orleans, LA - After a lengthy layoff due to Hurricane Isaac, the SUNO Lady Knights jumped back into action at the Belhaven Tournament this past weekend.  After dropping the opener against the hosting Blazers, SUNO won 9 of its next 11 sets in taking down Alcorn State, Mississippi College and Pensacola Christian.
"We were happy to win three matches at the tournament, but I don't think any one of our players feels as if we played our best volleyball this weekend", said head coach Naomi Washington.  "We have very high expectations for ourselves this season and if we're going to meet them we need to get better.  I'm not going to let them use the hurricane as an excuse, and I don't think that they would either.  But three wins in a row is something to build on, and we'll do our best to do just that."

The Lady Knights are now 3-2 on the season.  SUNO will compete next in the Rust College Tournament September 14 and 15 held in Holly Springs, MS.
