HOLLY SPRINGS, MS - On the opening day of the First Annual Rust College Bearcats Nation Classic, the Southern University at New Orleans Lady Knights Volleyball team earned pair of hard fought victories over Rust College and Tougaloo.

In the first match the Lady Knights, facing off against an NCAA Division III foe in Rust, knocked off the Bearcats in three games by scores of 25-22, 25-22 and 25-19.  In the second of back-to-back contests SUNO defeated GCAC rival Tougaloo  in a non-conference matchup in four games (23-25, 25-23, 25-17 and 25-22), extending their winning streak to five games.

SUNO has a record of 5-2 as it prepares to take on Stillman and Victory Colleges on the final day of the tournament.
